Since 1994, Between the Flags has been designing classic beach and lifestyle apparel to uphold the spirit of Australia’s surf lifesaving culture.

As Surf Life Saving Australia’s (SLSA) official retail partner Between the Flags holds exclusive licensing agreements for SLSA and several independent Surf Lifesaving Clubs and Associations around the country (see our list of partners).

Hundreds of thousands of dollars in royalties are generated from BTF sales and are given to SLSA every year to help keep our beaches patrolled, saving hundreds of lives every year.

Every year surf lifesavers spend more than 1.3 million hours patrolling our beaches, pools and coastlines. Together they rescue around 12,000 people, provide emergency care to 35,000 and give safety advice to more than 600,000 others.
